After working for the U.S. government for all of my early adulthood, at 36 I decided to end my career of 15 years and follow my passion for Art and host my first solo Art exhibition in Washington D.C.
My exhibit consisted of 20+ paintings and I decided that anyone and everyone was welcome to view. I put my heart and soul into not only my art but the exhibition itself was one of the most important days of my life.
The turnout was absolutely amazing with many of my friends and family there for love and support but it was also a pleasure to see new faces. It was an honour to have I met so many new people. I was overwhelmed by the joy of it all.
During and following the event I had a lot of people show interest in my work which led me to make more art. I couldn’t believe that my dream had become a reality and I was now going to be doing exactly what I loved.
The power of creating something with my own two hands and putting a smile on a face with the final product is something I can’t get enough of.
I live for those moments.
